Magical Diagnosis

What Is Magical Diagnosis and When Is It Really Necessary?

People come to spiritual and magical practice for very different reasons.

Sometimes something has changed in a relationship.

Sometimes the same problems seem to repeat again and again.

Sometimes a person feels that something is wrong but cannot explain what it is.

And sometimes they simply want to know whether a magical ritual is actually appropriate before doing anything.

The internet offers thousands of explanations for these situations.

Curses, negative energy, spiritual attacks, cleansing, protection, Tarot, runes and rituals are discussed everywhere.

But there is an important difference between reading about magic and actually working with a difficult situation.

For me, practical magic is not an exact science.

It is an art developed through experience, observation and practice.

And before trying to change a situation, I believe it is important to understand it first.

That is what magical diagnosis is for.

What Is Magical Diagnosis?

Magical diagnosis is a structured way of examining a particular situation through spiritual and esoteric methods.

It is not simply a search for a curse.

If someone comes to me and says:

«“I think someone has put something on me. Is there negative energy?”»

that is a question to investigate.

It is not already a diagnosis.

Depending on the situation, I may use Tarot, runes, intuitive perception and other traditional approaches.

Sometimes one reading is enough.

Sometimes a more detailed assessment is necessary.

The method depends on the question.

Magical Diagnosis Does Not Mean Finding a Curse

This is one of the most important distinctions.

There is a common pattern in the occult marketplace:

A person becomes worried.

They are told that they have a powerful curse.

Then they are offered an urgent cleansing ritual.

I do not consider that a good way to approach magical work.

A difficult period does not automatically mean a curse.

A relationship problem does not automatically mean someone has attacked you spiritually.

And a series of unfortunate events is not automatically proof of negative energy.

Sometimes there is a magical component.

Sometimes there is an effect from previous spiritual work.

Sometimes the real problem is a relationship, a repeated personal pattern or a difficult life situation.

And sometimes no magical intervention is necessary at all.

That is also a valid result of a diagnosis.

Why Diagnose a Situation Before Performing a Ritual?

My approach is simple:

Understand first. Act afterwards.

Before considering serious magical work, I want to understand several things.

What is happening?

How did the situation develop?

What may be causing it?

Is there actually a magical component?

What possible developments can be expected?

What happens if nothing is changed?

And what could happen if a particular magical intervention is performed?

This matters because a ritual is not simply a button that fixes a problem.

Any intervention becomes part of an existing situation.

That is why I prefer to know what I am changing before I attempt to change it.

When Can Magical Diagnosis Be Useful?

A detailed assessment may be useful when:

  • the same problem keeps repeating;
  • a relationship suddenly changes;
  • someone becomes unexpectedly distant;
  • you suspect a curse or negative influence;
  • previous rituals have already been performed;
  • several practitioners have worked on the same situation;
  • a cleansing or protection ritual produced unexpected results;
  • you are unsure whether magical work is needed at all;
  • you are choosing between several possible approaches.

The last point is often overlooked.

Sometimes the most important question is not:

“How can I perform a ritual?”

but:

“Should I perform one at all?”

What Can Be Examined?

There is no universal magical reading that answers every possible question.

The focus depends on the situation.

A relationship reading may examine the dynamics between two people.

Another assessment may focus on repeated obstacles, possible influences, previous magical work or possible directions in which a situation may develop.

If the question concerns a suspected curse or spiritual interference, that aspect can be examined as well.

But I try to keep an important distinction:

the client’s suspicion is not the same thing as the result of the diagnosis.

If someone believes they are cursed, that does not mean I will automatically tell them that they are.

Tarot, Runes and Cross-Checking

Tarot is one of the main tools in my practice.

Depending on the question, I may also use runes and my own intuitive perception.

I do not believe that serious situations should always be reduced to a single system.

Different tools can reveal different aspects of the same situation.

If several approaches point in the same direction, the overall picture becomes stronger.

If they contradict each other, I do not simply choose the answer that sounds better.

I look again.

The goal is not to create a dramatic story.

The goal is to understand the situation as clearly as possible.

Can Magical Diagnosis Be Done Remotely?

Yes.

In my practice, remote magical and spiritual work is possible.

Different traditions explain this in different ways.

Some speak about energetic fields.

Others use concepts such as astral perception, an information field or the collective unconscious.

I use these ideas as working models within spiritual practice, not as scientifically established laws of physics.

What matters in practical work is that the assessment has a specific person and a specific question as its focus.

For that reason, I can often begin a remote diagnosis with only a person’s name.

Why Is a Name Often Enough?

People sometimes ask:

“How can you possibly look at me if you have never met me?”

In my working method, the name functions as a reference point for the person and the question being examined.

Additional information can be useful when the situation requires it.

For example:

  • a photograph;
  • age;
  • a description of what happened;
  • the names of other people involved;
  • when the situation began;
  • a more precise question.

I ask for additional information when it is actually useful.

I do not believe in collecting large amounts of personal information simply because it is available.

Why I Prefer to Perform Complex Diagnosis in Peace and Quiet

A live Tarot reading can be useful.

For a complex diagnosis, however, I prefer to work separately.

During a live conversation I have to listen, respond, ask questions and follow the conversation itself.

That is excellent for consultation.

But it is not always ideal for concentrated diagnostic work.

When I work separately, I can stop and return to a particular point.

I can check something with another method.

I can compare different impressions.

And I can formulate the final conclusion after looking at the whole picture.

For me, the quality of the assessment matters more than the effect of a live demonstration.

Why Can a Diagnosis Take Time?

Not every situation has the same level of complexity.

A simple question may be relatively quick.

A situation that has developed over several years is different.

It becomes even more complicated when several practitioners have already performed rituals, cleansings or protection work.

In those cases, it may be necessary to understand what happened before attempting to add anything new.

I therefore do not believe in artificially promising that every serious question can be answered in a few minutes.

Sometimes the answer is obvious.

Sometimes it requires checking.

Taking more time is preferable to making a confident statement without enough information.

Can You Check Yourself for Negative Energy?

There are many traditional methods that people can try themselves.

Water, a raw egg, salt and candle work are among the methods commonly found in folk and esoteric practice.

They can be interesting as personal spiritual exercises.

But they should not be confused with a full magical diagnosis.

Bubbles in a glass of water are not automatically proof of negative energy.

An unusual shape in an egg is not automatically a curse.

A candle behaving differently is not automatically evidence that somebody is working against you.

The important distinction is between:

what you observed and what you concluded from the observation.

If you want to experiment with traditional self-checking methods, I have written a separate article about water, eggs, salt and other approaches.

Why Self-Diagnosis Can Become a Problem

Fear changes the way people interpret signs.

Once someone is convinced that they may be cursed, almost anything can become evidence.

A strange dream.

An argument.

Bad luck.

Fatigue.

Problems at work.

A difficult week.

Everything starts to look connected.

This can create a cycle in which every new event becomes another reason to suspect magical interference.

That is why I prefer a more disciplined approach.

Observe first.

Formulate the question.

Then investigate.

Do not keep inventing new diagnoses for yourself.

What Happens After the Diagnosis?

A diagnosis does not automatically lead to a ritual.

There are several possible outcomes.

Perhaps nothing needs to be done.

Perhaps the most useful step is a change in behaviour or a personal decision.

Perhaps the situation needs to be observed for some time.

Perhaps cleansing is appropriate.

Perhaps protection.

Perhaps a talisman.

Perhaps a deeper spiritual consultation.

The appropriate approach depends on the situation.

This is why I do not want to decide on the ritual before understanding the problem.

Ifa as Another Form of Spiritual Consultation

In certain situations, I may also consider a traditional Ifa consultation.

I do not see Ifa as a replacement for Tarot or runes.

It is a different approach.

Within my understanding of the tradition, Ifa can be especially relevant when a question requires a different spiritual framework or deeper orientation.

This may involve the concept of Ori — the head or inner direction of a person — together with the relationship to the Orisha and the spiritual tradition of Ifa.

Whether this approach is appropriate depends entirely on the question.

Why I Do Not Promise Guaranteed Results

Magical work is not a technical repair service.

It would be dishonest to promise:

“Do this ritual and exactly three days later your life will change.”

Too many factors are involved.

Your own decisions.

Other people.

External circumstances.

Previous actions.

Existing relationships.

All of these can affect how a situation develops.

I therefore do not promise miracles according to a fixed schedule.

If I see a situation where magical work may genuinely be appropriate, I can explain the approach and what the work is intended to address.

The Most Important Question Is Not “Am I Cursed?”

The more useful question is:

“What is actually happening here?”

That is the core of magical diagnosis.

Sometimes the answer may indicate magical interference.

Sometimes it may point to the consequences of previous spiritual work.

Sometimes the situation may be difficult but not magical.

And sometimes the best conclusion is that no ritual is needed.

I consider that a valid result.

A practitioner should not only know how to perform magical work.

They should also know when not to perform it.

If you want your particular situation to be examined, you can begin with an individual magical diagnosis.

Understand first. Act afterwards.
